So, Christmas was fun but busy and wore us all out. We woke up early and had Wesley open the presents we had got him, mostly cars, he's obsessed. It was cute, he actually tore off the paper, but wanted to play with the toy after opening it and didn't understand why we were setting them aside. He would've been happy with just one present, but it was cute. We then went over to my mom's and had breakfast there and we all opened more presents and played with the kids. Robbie's sister had Christmas over at her house this year, way out by the estrella mountains, far. We had lunch there and opened more presents. We don't get to see some of Robbie's fam as often as mine, so it was fun to visit with them. Wesley is the only grandchild here in town, so he was loaded up with gifts. I was sick the whole week of Christmas and it was hard to put on a smiling face for the whole day, but it was a good day and we did have lots of fun. Wesley got so many toys he doesn't know what to do with. And his birthday is in 3 weeks, he'll be a spoiled little boy.

Growin Up!
I really can't believe how fast time flies! Just one day about a week ago Wesley started walkin on his own, just a little ways at a time, but he loves to do it. He is so independent and wants to do everything himself and his way. I can't believe he's 10 1/2 months already. It's just like when he was 4 months he got 2 teeth and didn't get any more until the last month 4 more popped through and 2 more are coming in. It's like they go from baby to boy so quick! It's so fun to watch him learn new things!

Do Not Use The Bumbo Chair!
This is 2 days after. He landed on the left side of his head, and eye. Poor guy. I am not good with injuries, so hopefully there will not be many more. Haha, with boys, I don't know.

First Halloween!
This is our monkey! He looked so cute in his costume. We went over to my mom's house along with my sister and her 3 kids. We ate dinner and than went trick or treating as a group. My mom's neighborhood goes all out for halloween, haunted houses and kind of a big street party. Wesley loves to be outside so it was fun for him. He's such a momma's boy though, he'd be smiling and than as soon as someone said something to him, he'd hide his face in my shoulder. He's such a character! And he loved the candy!
This is my sister's youngest son, Ryland, he's 2 1/2. He was just so dang funny. He was Harry Potter and had the wand and everything and would wave it at the people that gave him candy, like casting a spell. He'd run up say trick or treat and then run back saying I did it Mom, I did it! So excited. Everyone thought he was a hoot!

Surprise!
Well, it took two years to finally get pregnant with Wesley and just a couple days of missed birth control and bam, child #2 is on it's way. I couldn't believe it with the 2 tests I took, but sure enough I'm pregnant again. It was just a huge shock that I wasn't even expecting, it took me a couple of days to fathom the fact that I was going to go through what I feel like I have just finished. But I am so excited now. They will be about 17 months apart, which makes me due in June and like 6 or 7 weeks along. I know it's early, and I wasn't going to tell anybody for awhile, but my big mouth opened and I couldn't keep it in. Life is definitely an adventure!

Being A Mom
I grew up with a great mom who stayed home with us (6 kids) and I knew that being a mom is something in my blood. People tell you how different it is having kids, but you really never know until you've experienced it. With my 9 month old I already feel like a crazy soccer mom running around from place to place, errand to errand, and working on top of it. There's definitely never a dull moment. It's a lot to think about though, what they eat, their sleep, and their play, and you just pray, at least I do, everyday that I am doing things right. Although there are headaches and frustrations, I can't do anything but smile when Wesley does something new or just gives me a hug or a big open mouth kiss. It's so funny. I might be a crazy mom, but I love it!

The Park
I wanted to go to the park because I realized that Wesley has never really played on grass. We only have a little park in our neiborhood that is not too exciting. Wesley had been very grouchy that day, I think from teething, and we just needed to get out of the house. Anyways, we went and the swings and slides weren't as fun as just playin in the grass with us. For the first couple minutes he wouldn't walk on the grass, it was funny, but after that he wanted to go. It was such a nice day, breezy, and the grass was cool on our feet. We love to be outside and this is the perfect time of year for it!

First Trip To The Zoo
We went to the zoo this weekend for the first time with Wesley, and me and Robbie haven't been there since we were little, it was so much fun! It was a lot more walking than I ever remember, but seeing Wes' face with the animals was so cute. His favorite had to have been the petting zoo with the goats and sheep. He thought they were funny and patted them like he does our dogs. Wesley had a few snacks on his shirt from earlier and one of the pygmy goats came up and was snackin off him, Wesley started laughing. The giraffes were also a favorite, they were eating really close to the edge and we got a real close look at them. I can't wait to go back again, it was a good family day!

Our Wesley!
Wesley is just the highlight of our lives. He definitely keeps us going, at 8 months he just wants to go, go, go! It is so much fun! He'd rather walk, not alone yet, than crawl, and he just cruises around in his walker. My life must have been so boring before him!
