Got Insurance?

So, not having insurance through this whole pregnancy has been an experience for sure. But, I got this phone call today on how much my hospital bill was and I think it is insane. So, I was at the hospital a total of 32 hours with my c-section (usually you have to stay 72), no complications, didn't eat the hospital's food (people brought me food), and my bill was just over $11,000. Insane right? That doesn't even include what I've paid my doc, the pediatrician, and the anastesiologist. I can't wait to see the itemized report saying how much they charged me per toilet paper sheet I used, haha. I think it is ridiculous that it is that much for how little time I actually spent at the hospital. Should've become a doctor haha.

Wes and Kambree

Wesley loves to help me when I do things, more of a mess maker than help haha. He pulls up a chair whenever I'm doing something in the kitchen. This is a pic of him after helping me with the dishes, playing with the bubbles, he had them everywhere.

This is Kambree, 2 weeks old in a cute dress. She's getting more alert now which is fun. It's definitely fun dressing a little girl than a boy. Wes has cute clothes, but girls clothes are fun, I'm so glad I have her.

My Fam

Kambree is such a sleeper, which is a complete opposite of how Wesley was - wide eye from birth, so it's been hard to get pics with her eyes open. But when she's awake she's so sweet, loves to look around and cuddle. It's crazy having a baby that seems so small, Wes was 9 lbs. Her tiny, even though 7 1/2 lbs isn't tiny, little body is just so cute. I'm so grateful to have her come into my home!

Wesley has had a very hard time sharing his mommy with Kambree, which makes it very hard for me. He gets really upset when I pick up the baby or change her diaper. I try to give him his own special attention, I guess it will just take time for him to get over it and love his sissy. This pic is of him playing with my checkbook, minus the important things. He loves to play with the cards, sticking them in and out of the slots. I love my goofy little boy!

Kambree Ann Is Here!

I went in on Friday the 20th for a c-section with Kambree. It was a crazy experience after getting all prepped knowing that the baby would be here very very soon. After the surgery started the baby was out within 10-15 min. The whole thing took just about 45 min. She was born at 8:10am and came in weighing 7lbs 9oz and was 20 in long. She seemed so tiny compared to Wesley when he was born. I started recovering at the hospital very quickly and convinced the doctor and nurses to let my go home early, only 32 hours after surgery. So I got home Saturday afternoon and it has been fun having a sweet little baby here.

I was mostly concerned about Wesley and how he'd do without me and when the baby came home. Things have been pretty good so far, but it is hard reminding myself to take it easy. I pretty much can't do anything, so it is hard for Wes to understand why I can't pick him up. Robbie has been such a great help and I am going to miss him when he goes back to work on Tuesday. So as of Tuesday my life will be hectic trying to take it easy and take care of the needs of a newborn and Wesley.
Kambree has quite a bit of hair, medium brown, kind of curly. She has long skinny fingers and long and skinny feet. She has a dimple on each cheek and has the cutest little round head. She already loves to suck on her hands and it is so cute when she's sucking her thumb, I know she must have done that in the womb. She grabs on so tight to poeples fingers and is such a good baby. Her little cry is so quiet and she only gets upset when she's hungry, which I don't blame her I do the same haha. I am so grateful she's here!

Just Wesley, 17 months

Wesley is getting so big and just looks like a little boy now. No more baby. Which I guess is a good thing considering there will be another baby. He loves, loves, loves cars and will sit and play for a long time with them.

Wes loves books and will sit to read any time of the day. This picture was shortly after we had woken up one morning.
He is so goofy, and if something catches his attention on the tv it's like the world stops. He loves movies, he's only allowed a couple a day, so when it's playing he's watching. What a funny boy!

Is It Time Already?

Time is going by so quickly and I am so nervous for everything that is to come. I've been through it before, but worrying about Wesley is makin me stress. I know it will all be okay, but I am amazed that it is time for this baby to come. So this Friday at 7:30am I will go into surgery to have this baby girl. 6 Days!

I am so grateful for the people in my life that are so willing to help me out. My sister threw a baby shower for my side of the family and it was so cute, so a definite thanks to her and all her hard work, I got a lot of stuff that I needed. And my friends Emily and Angie, who I work with as well, had a get together with the girls from work which was a lot of fun. Those girls are crazy and make work fun. So thanks to them for the time and work they put into it.

My sister's house, she decorated it so cute!

At my friend Angie's house, from work, it was so nice and got some cute clothes!

I guess I am as ready as I can be for this upcoming journey. I just got the baby's room done, nothing fancy but the border I did around the room took forever. The walls are so textured that the stencil for the flower didn't lay right and it was more work than I imagined. But it's done and I think it's cute so oh well.
